Barclays Life Skills is an excellent scheme to help get young people ready for the working world. As well as providing an online CV builder, the scheme also offers internships at various media and sports companies, from at the o2 itself to various premier league football teams.
Our focus was on helping with the CV element. People young and old could come to the stand, recieve a free makeover by the lovely Ashley from Butterfly mobile hair and make up and then have a professional headshot to use on their CV/Linkedin profile.
We also had a roaming photographer letting people have photographs of them being made up in the ‘dressing room’ or sitting next to one of their favourite football shirts in the ‘locker room.’
