BBC Worldwide put on a low key party in their West London offices to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. With entertainment provided by the BBC Ukulele Orchestra, the staff got to enjoy a few festive tipples and then could come down and take part in the green screen experience. The BBC provided us with some great green screen backgrounds, such as Blue Planet II and Doctor Who, which were clear favourites amongst the staff.
As the images were taken we had our green screen photobooth hooked up to HDMI which streamed a slideshow around the whole building. We managed to accidenatally show a test shot of us in a Bobsleigh to everyone in the BBC’s delight inadvertently which was embarssing. Having the screens around the building helped create a great buzz and we had long queues for the green screen all evening, but the system worked without a hitch and everyone went home with a printed picture and a smile on their face.
All the guests had the option to share their creations socially on the rear screen of our Infinity green screen system which proved very popular. At the end of each event we generate a report that show social spread, impressions and number of prints as well. It’s amazing to see how much interest an amusing photograph will generate.
